Gameplay Mechanics

Starting the Game

  1. You have 8 attempts to guess both words
  2. Each guess must be a valid five-letter English word
  3. Both target words are always five letters long

Understanding Feedback

After each guess, letters are color-coded:

  • 🟩 Green: Correct letter in correct position (for either word)
  • 🟨 Yellow: Correct letter in wrong position (for either word)
  • ⬜ Gray: Letter not present in either word

Daily Challenge Rules

  • New word pair every 24 hours
  • Both words are always different
  • No shared letters between the two words
  • All words come from standard English dictionary

How to Play Effectively

  1. Start with words containing common vowels (A, E, I, O, U)
  2. Pay attention to which letters get gray feedback - they're not in either word
  3. Green letters are confirmed for one word's position
  4. Yellow letters exist in one word but need repositioning
  5. Use process of elimination to separate letters between words
